About The Town

When you drive into Bell Buckle you get a sense of I am home. Home is wear your heart is. You will find many little antique shops, a few craft shops, a small post office, beautiful old homes and some beautiful new ones too. The shop that struck my fancy was around the corner from the Bell Buckle Cafe.  Forgive me for not remembering the name. But in this quaint little shop you will find every kind of craft that is handmade. When I walked in I immediatly felt this warmth, It is hard to describe. The nice lady behind the counter asked us if she could help us find  anything in particular. Me, I collect snowmen and my sister collects santa clauses. Well I was in a world of  splender. I wanted to buy up the whole store. But I settled for a wooden Santa Clause for my sister. Yea, I was already started on next Christmas.  One up for me.

Kathie and I dined at The Bell Buckle Cafe. a warm, comfortable feeling comes over you as you walk into the restaurant. From the outside it looks very small but when you enter the dining areas it seems to go on for ever. We sat in the music area, In this area are long tables. We were seated with two other ladies that were also dining.  We were greeted quite quickly and ordered our drinks. Soon after we ordered our  lunch. The food was great, very tastly and full of flavor. I can say that the coleslaw was very tasty. I ordered more. If you chance to glance at the ceiling you will find advertisements the size of  ceiling panels. Pretty neat idea. I have also dined there a time or two since. I have had the ribeye steak that was charbroiled to perfection and of course coleslaw. I was dining on a Thursday night in the music area where two men were playing guitars and singing, Such a nice atmosphere. They brought a teenager in who sang his own songs about food, One was called Shishkabob, and another about a date and an Arby's Roast Beef sandwich.  Where do these kids get this stuff. It was a really fun evening. I even videotaped the session and gave it to the boy. All his friends were there and also his mother. These are all memory makers.

So if you get the chance to come our way please stop by and visit this wonderful little town. You are sure to make a great memory from this trip.
